My Quick Verdict

Westinghouse approaches this category from a generator perspective rather than a consumer electronics perspective, and the iGen300s shows that background in the things it gets right.

Output is correct 120-volt pure sine with under 2% distortion, conversion is 86%, and 42 decibels make it one of the quieter units at this capacity. Full 120-volt pass-through means it can supply loads while charging, which several rivals cannot.

There is a real US phone line, which is rare at this price and worth more than most specification-sheet entries when something goes wrong.

Charging is the weakness. Sixty watts through an external brick takes about five hours, and the solar input is capped at the same figure.

Best for: Occasional camping and emergency device charging where support and clean output matter more than speed.

Not for: Anyone charging from solar, or who needs USB-C above phone rate.
