27 Most Trusted Power Station Brands

A complete guide to every portable power station brand we have tested, ranked by measured performance rather than marketing claims.

Most people call these things solar generators. Technically, they are portable power stations (a battery, an inverter, and a charge controller in one case), but the name has stuck, and it describes what they replace. A generator that makes no noise, burns no fuel,el and can sit in a hallway cupboard.

I have now put 100+ power stations from 27 brands through the same process. Same tests, same appliance loads, same ten scoring categories. This guide is what the data says about the brands behind them.

It is worth saying plainly what this is not. It is not a list of the biggest advertisers or the most visible names on a marketplace. Several well-known brands sit low here, and a couple of names you have never heard of sit surprisingly high.

How I Ranked These Brands

Every brand here is judged on the units I have measured, not on the catalogs I have read. A brand with one tested model is described as such.

Four measurements do most of the work.

  • Real usable capacity. Every unit loses energy when converting battery power to wall power. A 1,024 Wh unit typically delivers around 870 Wh to the outlets, and the gap between brands is wider than most buyers expect.
  • Blackout switchover. How fast the unit takes over when the grid fails, and (the part almost nobody checks) whether the inverter wakes up on its own.
  • Fan noise under load, measured at a fixed distance. This determines which room a unit can occupy, and it is not shown on a spec sheet.
  • Cell chemistry and rated cycle life, which decide whether the thing is still useful in year eight.

Scores are set before anyone checks which affiliate program a product belongs to. Measured figures come from published independent bench testing and are attributed on every review page.

Four brands account for more than half of everything worth testing. Bluetti, EcoFlow, Anker, and Pecron together account for 39 of the 82 units in our database, and their product cycles set the pace for everyone else.

Below them sits a long tail. Eleven of the 27 brands here have exactly one tested model. That is not a criticism – some of those single entries are excellent – but it tells you something about how young this category still is.

Lithium iron phosphate has effectively won

Of the 82 units tested, only three still use older NMC chemistry. Everything else has moved to LiFePO4.

The reason is arithmetic. NMC cells typically rate for 500 to 800 charge cycles. LiFePO4 cells routinely rate for 3,000 to 6,000. At one cycle a day, that is the difference between two years and more than a decade, for broadly similar money.

Cycle ratings are still climbing. Three units in our data now claim 6,000 cycles, and the average across all tested brands sits above 3,000.

The self-arming gap is the biggest untold story

Almost every unit in this category is sold as a blackout backup. Fewer than a third can actually arm their own inverter.

The rest need somebody to switch the inverter on beforehand and leave it running. If the grid fails while the house is empty, they do nothing. Manufacturers do not advertise this, and it is the single most common gap between what buyers think they are getting and what they own.

Only one brand in this guide has it right consistently. EcoFlow arms four of the six units we have graded. Jackery arms none of four.

Conversion efficiency varies more than price does

Across the brands with multiple tested units, the average conversion rate ranges from 83% to 92.5%. That spread is worth more than most feature differences.

A brand returning 92% from a 2,048 Wh pack gives you roughly 190 Wh more than one returning 83%. That is over an hour of extra refrigerator time, bought with nothing but better engineering.

Prices are falling faster than specifications are improving

The cheapest energy in our database now costs roughly a third of what the most expensive does, per watt-hour, for units of comparable capability. Value-tier brands have closed most of the performance gap on the leaders and undercut them substantially.

Where the premium brands still earn their money is in the details that show up later: quieter fans, faster switchover, self-arming inverters, longer warranties, and firmware that keeps improving.

Reliability here reflects measured consistency across the units we have tested, warranty length, and whether the brand answers the telephone. Brands with a single tested unit are marked as such.

Tier 1: The Industry Leaders

These four brands set the pace. They have the deepest lineups, the most developed apps, and the warranties most likely to still be in effect in five years.

1. EcoFlow

10 tested models  •  Average grade 8.2  •  Best overall consistency

EcoFlow is the brand I recommend most often, and the data explains why. It has the highest average grade among brands with more than two tested units, and it is the only one that reliably solves the self-arming problem.

Its strengths are charging speed and quietness. The Delta 3 Plus runs at 41 decibels, the quietest reading in our entire database, and the Delta Pro Ultra takes 7,200 watts from a wall socket while transferring to battery with no measurable gap at all.

The weakness is value. EcoFlow rarely reaches the exceptional value tier, and several of its own older models are now beaten by cheaper rivals.

2. Bluetti

15 tested models  •  Average grade 7.9  •  The widest lineup we track

Nobody covers this category more than Bluetti. From a 268Wh handheld to a 3,072Wh modular system, it has a unit at almost every capacity we test.

Its real distinction is modular architecture. The AC300 and AC500 separate the inverter from the cells entirely, so you buy the expensive electronics once and add battery modules as budget allows. Both carry 6,000-cycle ratings, the joint highest in our data.

Bluetti also builds quietly. The AC300 runs at 44 decibels behind a 3,000-watt inverter, and the AC240 manages 47. The recurring weaknesses are standby drain on the larger modular systems and switchover speeds that trail EcoFlow.

3. Anker

8 tested models  •  Average grade 7.6  •  Best charge retention anywhere

Anker builds the best batteries in this category for the job most people actually need: sitting in a cupboard for months and being full when a storm arrives.

The SOLIX S2000 loses 0.08% of its charge per hour on standby and converts 95% of its rated capacity, both of which are the best figures in our entire database. The C2000 Gen 2 posts the fastest switchover we have measured at 7.2 milliseconds.

Where Anker slips is noise and consistency. The C1000 runs at 59 decibels, and only three of the seven graded units have their own inverter. Its Plus and standard variants also differ far more than the naming suggests.

4. Jackery

4 tested models  •  Average grade 7.1  •  Lightest large-capacity units

Jackery is the most recognized name in this category and the one where our data diverges most from its reputation.

What it does genuinely well is weight. The SG HomePower 3000 holds 3 kilowatt-hours in 59 pounds, while rivals with the same capacity weigh up to 136 pounds. It also converts well, at an average of 88.2%.

Two things hold it back. None of the four graded units has its own inverter. And its cycle ratings are measured at 70% of original capacity, whereas every other brand here is measured at 80%, a materially easier test that makes the headline number not directly comparable.

Tier 2: The Value and Innovation Contenders

These brands compete by doing one thing better than the leaders, usually at a lower price.

5. Pecron

8 tested models  •  Average grade 7.6  •  Cheapest energy in the database

Pecron holds the lowest cost per watt-hour of any brand we track, and it is not close. The F3000 is the cheapest energy in our entire database.

It also takes direct current seriously in a way almost nobody else does. The F5000LFP carries a 1,000-watt DC output, by a wide margin the largest we have measured, and several Pecron units return more energy through DC than through their AC outlets.

The pattern to watch is waveform quality. Three of the four worst harmonic distortion readings in our database are from Pecron machines, suggesting a design characteristic rather than a single bad sample. Keep sensitive medical equipment off the AC side.

6. AFERIY

2 tested models  •  Average grade 8.2 • Most usable energy per pound spent

AFERIY converts better than any other brand in this guide, averaging 92.5% across two tested units, and it backs its cells with a seven-year warranty, while five years is the industry standard.

That combination (the most energy delivered and the longest cover) is unmatched here, and both units sit in an exceptional value tier.

The cost is noise. The P310 measures 63 decibels, the loudest reading in our database, and AFERIY runs no telephone support behind that seven-year warranty.

7. Montek

2 tested models  •  Average grade 8.5  •  Highest surge headroom

Montek is the brand I point tradespeople towards. The X1200 offers 7,000 watts of surge power from a 1,280Wh unit, roughly double that of any other unit of that size.

It also converts at 92%, one of the strongest figures we have recorded, and it is one of the very few value-tier brands that invert themselves.

Against that: 57-decibel fans, a 2,500-cycle rating below the class average, and no telephone support.

8. DJI

2 tested models  •  Average grade 7.2  •  Built for camera and drone crews

DJI came to this category from drones, and it shows in every design decision. Both units carry 140-watt USB-C ports and dedicated fast-charge outputs for camera batteries, and both are light for their capacity.

The Power 2000 also transfers to battery with no measurable gap and accepts 1,800 watts of solar, the highest input ceiling in our data.

The weaknesses are consistent across both: the weakest AC conversion we have measured, and solar voltage windows that rule out most rigid panels on the smaller unit.

9. UGREEN

2 tested models  •  PowerRoam line  •  Quiet everyday portability

UGREEN’s two PowerRoam units are unremarkable in the best sense. Solid conversion, quiet operation, sensible weight, and a mature app.

The PowerRoam 2200 posts one of the better switchover figures at its capacity and runs at 52 decibels.

With only two tested models, there is not yet enough data to say whether this consistency holds across the range.

10. Dabbsson

1 tested model  •  Longest cell life measured

The Dabbsson 1000 Pro carries a 4,500-cycle rating, the longest of any single unit in our database, alongside 47-decibel fans and the most generous solar current allowance at its capacity.

It also loses 3.6% of its charge every hour it sits armed, the worst standby figure we have recorded. A pack built to last twelve years, attached to electronics that cannot be left alone for two days.

Tested lineup: 1000 Pro

Tier 3: The Specialists

These brands are not trying to compete across the whole category. Each does one thing that nobody else does.

11. Enphase

1 tested model  •  The only true zero-transfer UPS

Enphase is a solar company, and the IQ PowerPack 1500 is the only unit in our database that is a genuine online UPS rather than a battery with a fast relay.

Its inverter runs continuously, so connected equipment never experiences a transfer. Electrical noise measures 85 mV, roughly 20 times cleaner than the field.

Everything portable about it is poor: the worst DC yield we have measured, a 60-watt USB-C port, 55 pounds, and solar too weak to recharge it.

12. Mango Power

1 tested model • Rigid-array solar only

The Mango Power E is capable (4,000 cycles, a quick switchover, low standby drain) but one design decision will catch buyers out.

Its solar input starts at 60 volts. Foldable panels produce 18 to 40 volts, so none of them work. This machine only accepts a properly wired series string of rigid panels.

13. AllPowers

2 tested models • Solar-first budget builds

AllPowers builds for people charging from panels rather than sockets. The R1500 accepts 95 volts, and the R2500 reaches 150, both well above what budget rivals allow, and both charge slowly from the wall by design.

One serious caveat: the R2500 measured 112 volts of output, the only unit in our database outside the safe 117 to 123 volt band. Motors run hotter on undervoltage and fail earlier.

14. OUPES

5 tested models  •  Average grade 5.2  •  Storage, not protection

OUPES prices aggressively,y and the Mega series offers generous solar input. But it has the lowest average grade among brands with multiple tested units.

The Mega 3 is the only unit among all we have measured to exceed the 20-millisecond switchover threshold; it cannot keep a solar array permanently connected or receive firmware updates.

Treat OUPES units as batteries for tools and appliances rather than as blackout protection.

15. VigorPool

2 tested models  •  Captain series  •  Mid-size camping

The two Captain units are sensible mid-size machines aimed at camping and light backup, with respectable conversion and reasonable weight.

Neither has been graded on our current standard, so treat the assessment as provisional.

16. BougeRV

1 tested model  •  Still on older chemistry

The Flash 300 is one of only three units in our database still using NMC cells rather than LiFePO4, rated for 700 cycles against the 3,000-plus that is now standard.

It charges quickly for its size, but in 2026, the chemistry alone is reason enough to look elsewhere unless weight is your single priority.

Tier 4: Budget and Entry Brands

These eleven brands each have one or two tested units, mostly at the smaller capacities. Several are competent. None has enough data behind it yet for me to describe as proven.

17. Oukitel

2 tested model • Entry-level camping and backup

The P501 and P2001 are straightforward budget units. The P2001 shares its hardware and its tested figures with the FFpower P2001, which is worth knowing before you compare them as alternatives.

18. FFpower

2 tested models • Rebadged hardware

FFpower units share hardware with several rebadged rivals in this guide. The BP2000 posts a 6.2-millisecond switchover, one of the quickest figures we have measured at any capacity.

19. FOSSiBOT

1 tested model  •  Budget two-kilowatt-hour storage

The F2400 is a competent budget unit with a 3,500-cycle rating, held back by conversion below the class line and 59-decibel fans.

20. Energizer

2 tested models • A familiar name, licensed

Energizer’s power stations carry one of the most recognized names in the battery industry. The two tested units are ordinary rather than bad: sensible chemistry, unremarkable conversion, no standout weakness.

21. CTechi

2 tested models • Compact camping

Both CTechi units sit at the smallest end of the category, using LiFePO4 cells rated for 2,000 cycles. Fine for phones, laptops, and camp lighting.

22. GoLabs

1 tested model  •  Light camping

The R500 is a 518Wh LiFePO4 unit aimed at camping and small backup loads, with conversion efficiency below that of better units at that size.

The CellPowa 500 is a 537Wh LiFePO4 unit with 2,000-cycle cells and dual bidirectional USB-C ports, ideal for camping and light backup.

24. Vinnic

The PS700 is a 512Wh unit rated for 4,000 cycles, which is unusually long-lived for a compact machine and better than several units three times its size.

The Campower 700 is a 672Wh LiFePO4 unit with a 2,500-cycle rating, competent for camping without doing anything its rivals do not.

27. Lemi Power

The Lemi Power 1500 is a 1,536Wh unit with 2,000-cycle cells, which is short by current standards, and its conversion trails that of better machines at that capacity.

Which Brand Should You Actually Buy?

Brands do not run refrigerators. Individual units do, and every brand here has better and worse ones. But if you are starting from the brand, this is how I would narrow it.

If your priority is…Start with
Blackout backup that works with nobody homeEcoFlow, then Anker. These are the two brands that reliably arm their own inverters.
The most energy for the moneyPecron and AFERIY. Both sit at exceptional value tiers with strong conversion.
A system you can grow over timeBluetti. Its modular architecture separates the electronics from the cells.
Something you can actually carryJackery. It builds the lightest large-capacity units we have ever weighed.
Quiet operation in a bedroom or officeEcoFlow, then Bluetti. Both hold the low forties in decibels.
Running power toolsMontek. Nothing else offers that much surge at that size.
Twelve-volt and vehicle loadsPecron. Its DC outputs and DC efficiency are the best here.
Protecting a computer with no interruption at allEnphase, if you can live with everything else about it.
Charging cameras and drones in the fieldDJI. The USB-C throughput is unmatched.

A note on brands we have not tested

Several names that appear in other buying guides are absent here, including Zendure and Lion Energy. That is not a judgment on them. We have not measured them, so they are not in this guide.

Every brand listed above is included because its units have undergone the same process as everything else. When that changes, the list will.
