My Quick Verdict

An 87% conversion rate is the standout number here and one of the better figures at this capacity. The iGen600 delivers 515Wh of its 592Wh rating, which is more usable energy than several rivals with higher on-paper ratings.

One point two percent hourly idle drain is genuinely good, meaning a unit charged and stored is still largely full weeks later. For an emergency kit that matters more than most specifications.

600 watts continuous with 1,200 watts of peak power covers a refrigerator, and a full 120-volt pass-through means it can supply loads while charging.

Ninety watts of charging is the problem. Filling 592Wh at that rate takes about six and a half hours, and the solar input is capped at 100 watts.

Best for: Emergency kits kept charged and stored, where retention matters more than recharge speed.

Not for: Solar charging, or anyone who needs a quick turnaround.
