The Milwaukee M18 Carry-on Inverter delivers 1,800W continuous from four M18 packs, holding 864Wh with 12.0Ah High Output cells and returning 752Wh. It cannot discharge while grid-connected. Premium price tier before batteries.
My Quick Verdict
This is Milwaukee’s answer for the trades already carrying M18 packs, and it delivers where it matters: 1,800 watts continuous with a 3,600-watt surge, which starts most corded tools.
An 87% conversion is the best of any tool-brand unit in our data, and clean output with under 1.5% distortion means the diagnostic equipment is safe on it.
A built-in 3 amp charger tops up packs while the unit runs on others, which is a sensible touch for a working site.
Sixty-six decibels is the problem. That is the loudest figure of any unit in our database, and on a site where hearing a warning matters, it is a genuine consideration rather than a comfort one.
Best for: Trades already invested in M18 who need real corded-tool output on site.
Not for: Anywhere noise matters, or anyone outside the Milwaukee ecosystem.
