My Quick Verdict

The AC70 does something unusual for its size: it accepts expansion batteries. At 768Wh, it is a compact unit, and pairing it with a B80 or B230 makes it considerably larger.

That flexibility is the main reason to choose it over the many fixed-capacity units at this capacity, and few of them offer it.

Eighty-six percent conversion returns 660Wh, and the Power Lift inverter runs resistive loads up to 2,000 watts by reducing voltage, which is a genuine trick for kettles and heaters rather than marketing.

The transfer function is 20 millisecond EPS. It arms itself, which is the harder half, but 20 milliseconds sits outside the band where a computer reliably survives.

Best for: Van and camping setups that may grow, and anyone wanting expansion at a compact capacity.

Not for protecting computers or network equipment, where the 20-millisecond transfer is marginal.
