The Rockpals 250W returns 194Wh of its 240Wh rated capacity, an 81% result, behind a 250W modified sine inverter with no pass-through charging – mid-range price tier.
My Quick Verdict
The Rockpals holds the most usable energy of the cheap modified sine units at 194Wh, and offers the strongest inverter in that group at 250 watts.
Both are real advantages within a tier that struggles on each.
What undermines it is the combination that defines the tier. Eighty-one percent conversion sits four points below our threshold, distortion exceeds 30%, and there is no pass-through charging at all, so the output stops whenever the charger is connected.
At its price, it is also the most expensive modified sine unit in our data, which is hard to justify when a considerably better unit sits $10 away.
Best for: Camping and device charging where the higher inverter rating matters and the waveform does not.
Not for: Electronics, anything needing power while charging, or anyone who can stretch $10 further.
