The Black+Decker PPRH5B returns 143Wh of its 216Wh rated capacity, a 66% result and the weakest in our data, behind a 500W modified sine inverter. It includes 450A jump clamps and a tyre inflator. Budget price tier.
My Quick Verdict
This is a roadside emergency kit rather than a power station, and it should be judged on that basis before anything else.
The 450-amp jump starter clamps and built-in tyre inflator are the primary functions, and at its price point, they are a reasonable value.
The 500-watt inverter is an addition. Conversion is 66%, the weakest AC figure in our entire database, so of 216 rated watt-hours, only 143 reach the outlets.
The output is a modified sine wave with over 30% distortion, the idle drain is 3.2% per hour, and the fans exceed 60 decibels. None of that suits electronics.
Best for: Keeping in a car boot for a flat battery or a soft tyre.
Not for: Any electronics, any sustained load, or anyone shopping for a power station.
