The Ryobi RYi1802B6 delivers 1,800W of continuous power from 40V tool batteries, holds 432Wh with two 6.0Ah packs, and returns 372Wh to the outlets. The inverter disables while charging. Premium price tier before batteries.
My Quick Verdict
Like the EGO Nexus, this inverter runs on tool batteries rather than on a power station with its own cells. Two 40-volt 6.0Ah packs give 432Wh, and it accepts four.
Eighteen hundred watts continuous with a 3,000-watt peak is real output, enough for a circular saw or a compressor, and 86% conversion is a good result.
The GenControl Bluetooth app and a parallel kit port that links two units together are both unusual touches for a tool brand.
The same limitation applies to every unit in this group: the inverter disables while charging from the wall, so it cannot supply anything and refill simultaneously.
Best for: Existing Ryobi 40V owners who want jobsite power from packs already in the shed.
Not for: Anyone outside the Ryobi ecosystem, or who needs the unit to run while charging.
